The Rest Is Politics podcast launches new Murdoch mini-series

A new mini-series exploring the extraordinary life and legacy of Rupert Murdoch has launched under The Rest Is Politics Plus feed.

Titled Murdoch, the podcast brings together Alastair Campbell and Murdoch’s biographer Michael Wolff for an in-depth look at one of the most powerful figures in modern media.

From Fleet Street to Fox News, the series charts how Murdoch went from inheriting a single Australian newspaper to shaping global politics and entertainment.

His influence has been felt across continents and arguably in the election of President Donald Trump.

He’s run blockbuster film studios and redefined the media landscape across nearly seven decades.

The series looks into the often murky world where politics, power and the press collide. Campbell, once both an ally and a target of Murdoch’s newspapers, and Wolff, whose insider knowledge of the Murdoch empire has made headlines worldwide, will unpack how ambition and controversy have driven his rise and reign.

As Murdoch’s son Lachlan takes greater control of the conservative media empire, Murdoch promises to ask one defining question – what will Rupert Murdoch’s true legacy be?

The first episode of the mini-series launches today on The Rest is Politics Plus Feed with new episodes released weekly over the next four weeks.
