The Times launches new business podcast hosted by top journalists

The Times and The Sunday Times have launched a new weekly podcast, The Business, hosted by journalists Hannah Prevett and Dominic O’Connell.

From 9 October, the show will explore one major business story each week, with analysis, insight and expert guests from across the corporate world.

Sponsored by PwC for its first six months, The Business promises to uncover the personalities, power plays and boardroom decisions shaping UK and global industries.

Dominic O’Connell, an award-winning business journalist and Times Radio presenter, said: “For years I’ve been having conversations with top business people to work out what’s happening behind the scenes.

“This podcast lets listeners hear those conversations and understand that chief executives are much like everyone else – trying to do their best within real-world limits.”

Co-host Hannah Prevett, associate business editor of The Sunday Times, added: “This is a pivotal moment for business – companies are navigating economic headwinds, political change and the AI revolution. Our podcast will cut through the noise to tell the real stories behind the headlines and explain why they matter.”

Kate Ford, deputy head of podcasts at The Times, said the show will translate the brand’s respected business journalism into audio, offering “essential listening for anyone who wants to stay on top of the big stories of the day.”

The Business is available every Thursday on major podcast platforms and each Friday on YouTube.
