Tink Media has released its fourth annual Audio Delicacies List for this year showcasing more than one hundred podcast recommendations.
These have been chosen by contributors from across the global audio industry, including producers, presenters, engineers and marketing specialists.
Inspired by the Bello Collectiveโs One Hundred Outstanding Podcasts, the list is positioned as a discovery-focused alternative to traditional best-of roundups and offers a detailed snapshot of the shows that resonated most strongly with people working inside podcasting.
Across this yearโs selection, Tink Media says it has identified a clear shift in listening habits, with audiences increasingly searching for comfort, perspective and ways to make sense of the uncertainty that has shaped this year for many listeners.
Rather than ranking shows, the list is arranged into themed courses depending on what a listener might be in the mood for, including comedy, fiction, interviews, investigative series, narrative nonfiction, news, true crime and out-of-the-box audio ideas.
Every recommendation is accompanied by a short personal note from the contributor explaining why the podcast stood out this year, along with a suggested episode designed to help new listeners start in the right place.
โThis list is full of recommendations from people who listen to the most stuff and the best stuff,โ says Tink Media founder Lauren Passell. โWhat excites me about this industry is that there are unspoken heroes everywhere making stuff they care about, though it might take some extra digging to find. Audio Delicacies helps good stuff get discovered. The list gives me hope.โ
A preview of the Audio Delicacies List appears in Passellโs Podcast the Newsletter today, 8 December, with the full collection available on the Tink Media website as a curated snapshot of what moved, challenged and grounded podcast listeners this year.
