Tom Chamberlin unveils new podcast exploring craft and culture

The editor-in-chief of The Rake, Tom Chamberlin has launched The Luxury Dispatch podcast.

The weekly audio-video series offers curated reports on craftsmanship, heritage and the hidden details that define true luxury.

Positioned as a refined guide to the rare and the meticulously made, the series brings together global tastemakers to explore the question at the heart of the show: what is luxury?

Across British and international media, Tom has built a career examining style, culture and craft, and his perspective as an editor, author and unexpected social-media favourite shapes the tone of a podcast designed to charm inquisitive listeners.

Each episode provides a topic-by-topic deep dive into the rituals and stories surrounding iconic objects and experiences. These range from watches, cigars and cocktail mastery to design, motoring and the private clubs of St James’s.

The format uses expert knowledge along with conversation and historical insight, to give a sense of intimacy and discovery to resonate with both enthusiasts and the simply curious.

Launch episodes feature some well-known voices, including Hollywood director Paul Feig and historian Nick Foulkes discussing the art of cocktails; actor Rafe Spall exploring cricket and classic tailoring; motoring insight from Simon de Burton; a Christmas gift guide with former England rugby players Mike Tindall and James Haskell; and a look at Giorgio Armani’s legacy with Peter Howarth and Hani Farsi, focusing on the designer’s influence on cinema, culture and modern style.
