TV comedy actor, writer and impersonator Terry Mynott has teamed up with writer and stand-up comedian Col Howarth to produce a new podcast, Moonkarta.
The podcast is an original scripted family adventure that sees cheeky rogue Splott set out on an epic adventure, in a story about good vs evil, courage and friendship, and a race to restore balance to a world that is under threat from dark forces.
Recently recommended by The Guardian as a Podcast of the Week, Moonkarta is performed and produced by Terry Mynott, who has appeared in TV shows including Motherland, Toast of London, Murder in Successville, Doctors, Bo Selecta and more. He also played the lead in two series of his own ITV show, The Mimic.
About his creative partnership with Col, Terry said: โWe were both looking to start new creative projects, when we decided to put our heads together. We wanted to write an original story which drew on Colโs talent as a writer and my acting and voice work.
โThere are literally dozens of characters in series one and Terry voices every one of them. He has them arguing with each other, singing together. It is astonishing!โ
Terry added: โConsidering there are only two of us, the result is pretty amazing, and we are thrilled to be named among The Guardianโs recommendations alongside some big names and seriously slick productions.โ
Series One, Part One of Moonkarta is available as five episodes on most podcast platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and Google Podcasts. Series One, Part Two will be released in March 2024 โ find out more at moonkarta.com.
