Twisted Tales podcast uncovers chilling truths behind horror legends

Poet and paranormal obsessive Heidi Wong is bringing real-life terror to podcasting with her new weekly series Twisted Tales.

From PAVE Studios’ Crime House, the show takes listeners inside the disturbing stories that inspired some of horror’s biggest blockbusters.

From haunted dolls to cursed houses and sinister legends, Wong digs into the darker truths behind the myths and the unspeakable events too shocking for the screen.

The series launches today, 6 October, with Horror: True Events That Inspired The Conjuring. The opening episode examines the infamous Rhode Island farmhouse, the malevolent spirit that plagued a family for years, and the disturbing origins of Annabelle, the doll believed to be possessed by a demon.

Wong promises a more unsettling account than the one cinemagoers have seen, exposing the frightening details that Hollywood left behind.

New episodes will be released every Monday, with full video versions available on the Crime House Studios YouTube channel alongside audio episodes on all major podcast platforms.

Wong, known for her haunting spoken word and deep fascination with the paranormal, says Twisted Tales is about showing how terrifyingly close horror films come to reality.

Each episode takes audiences beyond the movies, offering carefully researched accounts that blur the line between legend and lived experience.
