The West Midlands UniPodFest based at Birmingham City University, is returning for a third year.
Taking place on Friday 4 April, this year the theme is women in podcasting to reflect the current gaps in gender equity at the top of UK podcasting.
A number of women in UK podcasting will be guests including from Amazon, the BBC, the Radio Academy, Spotify SoundUP and independent audio production.
The event will celebrate podcasting in all its diversity with expert-led panel discussions, workshops and special guest headline podcaster, Kelechi Okafor whose award-winning podcast Say Your Mind spanned nearly 300 episodes.
UniPodFest’s aim is to inspire and upskill next generation and regionally based podcasters whilst imparting much needed audio skills to student creators, bridging the gap between universities and the UK’s podcast and audio content industry.
