A new video podcast studio system called VeePod has launched, aiming to make high-quality, cinematic-style production more accessible to creators.
Designed to fit into any suitable space, VeePod offers a flexible and immersive studio experience without the cost and complexity of traditional broadcast environments.
Created by Rob Chandler, VeePod blends real-time production tools with smart automation to streamline podcast creation while maintaining a natural, unscripted feel.
Chandler previously spent 20 years in big-tech marketing before moving into virtual production, a method combining real-time graphics and live-action filming. He also founded Starting Pixel, a global community for content creators, and hosts a podcast of the same name.
“The way we engage with podcasts is evolving rapidly,” said Chandler. “Creators face mounting challenges, from costly builds and static visuals to workflows that don’t scale. VeePod addresses these in a simple, intuitive format.”
The system includes sets that can be customised to reflect real or imagined spaces, incorporate brand colours, or simulate different lighting and weather conditions. This helps creators align their visuals with their storytelling, branding, or sponsorships.
To support remote interviews, VeePod allows for identical studio setups in different locations. These can be virtually connected using real-time ‘beaming-in’ technology to create seamless, cohesive visuals for video podcast episodes.
Installation takes only a day, with training provided on automation tools including lighting sync and AI-driven camera switching. These features help reduce editing time while enhancing production quality.
From early June, VeePod will be available for demos and recordings at the All Is Joy studio on Dean Street, Soho. The system will go on sale from early July.
