YouTuber, podcaster, and social media personality George Clarke has been announced as the sixth celebrity contestant for Strictly Come Dancing 2025.
The multi-award-winning BBC Studios entertainment series will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this September.
George, also known online as George Clarkey, is a British content creator with millions of followers across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. He has built a career on humour, honesty, and a distinctive comedic style, attracting a wide online audience.
Born and raised in the UK, George began making video content as a teenager, quickly realising the potential of digital platforms to connect with audiences worldwide.
Alongside his YouTube and social media work, he co-hosts The Useless Hotline Podcast, which has grown into a live tour across the UK due to its popularity.
On joining Strictly, George said: “Never thought I’d say this… but I’m doing Strictly! Honestly, I’ve got no idea what I’m doing but I’m excited to get stuck in… and potentially fall over a fair bit.”
The announcement was made on BBC Radio 1’s Going Home Drivetime Show on Tuesday. George now joins a growing list of celebrity contestants for the 2025 series, with more names set to be revealed in due course.
