Comedian and podcaster Rob Auton announces first narrative story tour

Rob Auton has announced his first-ever narrative story tour, CAN: The Story of a Man Called CAN, debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe this August.

The comedian, writer, podcaster, and actor will perform the show for the full month in Edinburgh before touring the UK from 2026.

CAN follows the life of a man who was once the world’s leading motivational speaker until something changed.

Rob will perform the show in Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle, Cambridge, Brighton, Bristol, York, Sheffield, Salford, Birmingham and Cardiff.

He will kick-start the tour with a return to London’s Soho Theatre for a week-long run from 19 to 24 January.

The Edinburgh run will take place at Assembly Roxy, Upstairs, from 30 July to 24 August.

Tickets for the UK tour go on sale from today, Friday 18 July while Edinburgh Fringe tickets are also on sale now.

Rob has been described by British Comedy Guide as “the Fringe’s comedian laureate” and has built a cult following with shows exploring themes like time, yellow, hair, and himself.

His podcast, The Rob Auton Daily Podcast, has won two British Podcast Awards Golds and reached over two million downloads with more than 500 episodes.

On screen, Rob starred opposite Danny Dyer in Marching Powder last year, appeared in Channel 4’s The Change, and featured in Starstruck on the BBC.

His stand-up special The Time Show was released with PLOSIVE and Turtle Canyon Comedy and his appearance on Stand-Up Central With Rob Delaney went viral with over 21 million views.

Rob’s recent book I Strongly Believe in Incredible Things was published by HarperCollins’ Mudlark imprint.

He will also return to End of the Road Festival this summer with JF Abraham to perform their project Words With Music.
