Neural DSP, widely known for its guitar and bass processing technology, has announced its move into vocal production with the launch of Mantra, its first vocal plugin.
Mantra aims to simplify vocal workflows by unifying essential tools such as pitch correction, EQ, compression, gating, de-essing, harmonies, and effects into one interface.
Neural DSP says this eliminates the need for multiple plugins, streamlining the process from recording to final mix.
Francisco Cresp, CPO and Co-Founder, said: “We wanted to put a world-class vocal studio into one plugin so artists can focus on feeling, expression, and performance instead of wrestling with technical hurdles.
“Mantra marks an exciting expansion into the broader world of audio production, giving vocalists, producers, and creators a powerful, streamlined way to achieve incredible results with no compromises.”
Mantra offers Tracking Mode for low latency and light CPU usage and Mixing Mode for high-quality final processing. Its Correction Section includes pitch correction, gating, de-essing, and a Sculpt module, which instantly shapes vocal tone with minimal setup.
The Multimode Compressor provides Tube, Stress, and Multi flavours, while the Multimode Saturation module offers Tape, Tube, and Digital modes for warmth, drive, or texture.
Mantra also features an eight-voice Harmony module, four delay types with built-in ducking, three reverb modes, studio-grade modulation effects, and a proprietary Doubler for width and thickness.
Francois Barrillon, Plugin Product Manager, said: “Mantra removes barriers and gives creators the freedom to experiment, push boundaries, and trust their instincts – knowing their vocal sound will stay consistent, inspiring, and professional from the very first take.”
