Global is set to launch a new Formula One podcast, Up To Speed, bringing fans closer to the sport.
The series features a high-profile presenting team including Drive to Survive personality and F1 journalist Will Buxton, racing driver turned broadcaster Naomi Schiff, 13-time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard and F1 presenter and content creator Jolie Sharpe.
Up To Speed will deliver immediate race reaction alongside behind the scenes insight and discussion around the biggest stories shaping Formula One both on and off the track.
The podcast will release two episodes each week, with Monday editions focusing on analysis following race weekends and Thursday episodes exploring major talking points and featuring interviews with leading figures from the sport.
The show is designed to appeal to established fans while also welcoming new audiences discovering Formula One through digital platforms and expanding global coverage.
Will Buxton said: “Formula 1 isn’t just about what happens on the track, it’s about the drama, the personalities, the moments you don’t see, and the questions fans are desperate to ask.
“Between us we’ve lived and breathed this sport for years, and Up To Speed gives us the chance to react fast and go behind the scenes.”
Naomi Schiff said the podcast reflects conversations that happen regularly within the paddock and aims to share those perspectives with listeners and viewers.
She said: “Being at races week in, week out gives us a real sense of what’s happening beyond the headlines. This podcast is about sharing those conversations and exploring what matters on and off the track.”
David Coulthard highlighted Formula One’s expanding audience and described the launch as arriving at a key moment for the sport’s continued growth.
He said: “Formula 1’s audience continues to grow every year and with so much momentum in the sport this feels like the perfect time to launch a podcast show like this. Expect big interviews, sharp analysis and a genuine passion for racing.”
Jolie Sharpe added that the podcast will help audiences feel more connected to race weekends and the wider Formula One experience.
Up To Speed will launch on 16 February, with episodes available on Global Player, YouTube and major podcast platforms.
