We Need To Talk podcast hits major YouTube milestone in 603 days

Paul C Brunson’s podcast, We Need To Talk has reached 500,000 YouTube subscribers in just 603 days.

The milestone highlights how We Need To Talk has accelerated audience growth using a strategy first applied to The Diary Of A CEO, which took 1,276 days to reach the same point.

The approach centres on consistency, incremental improvements and a defined production strategy known as the FlightStory blueprint.

This same framework helped scale The Diary Of A CEO into one of the largest podcasts globally within three years.

Since launch, We Need To Talk has built more than two million combined social followers in under two years. The company says its Facebook presence alone has grown to 865,000 followers, supported by publishing more than five posts a day across platforms.

The show has generated 40 million YouTube views and is currently averaging around 4.7 million views each month.

Across social media, total views have reached 855 million, driven by interviews with high profile guests including Jo Frost, Blake Fielder and Rose McGowan.

Each episode is supported by more than 2,000 hours of research, with a consistent weekly release schedule that has recently increased to two episodes per week.

We Need To Talk is produced by FlightStory Studio, part of Steven Bartlett’s company portfolio. The company says the podcast is also expanding internationally, with the United States now accounting for 19.5 percent of total views following recent recordings in Los Angeles.

Alongside audience growth, the show has incorporated charity partnerships into selected episodes, including links supporting Tommy’s and NHS Organ Donation campaigns.

Top performing guests on the podcast include Perrie Edwards, Rose McGowan, YUNGBLUD, Jo Frost, Nadiya Hussain, Maura Higgins, Gabor Maté, Miranda Kerr and Kerry Katona.
