W!ZARD Studios’ video podcasts will now have access to new revenue opportunities and stronger protection through a new partnership with Fremantle.
The deal gives the podcast company a broader commercial structure for managing and monetising its growing slate of video shows.
W!ZARD Studios produces more than 100 podcasts across the UK, United States, Canada, Australia and Europe. Its catalogue covers comedy, true crime, lifestyle and pop culture.
Under the agreement, W!ZARD Studios will use Fremantle’s global infrastructure to support audience growth, optimise video channels and protect intellectual property.
The partnership includes shows such as Call To Stage with Amber Davies, The Pieces with Bimini and Stay Hydrated with Chris & Lizzie.
This announcement reflects the growing role of video in podcasting as more listeners choose to watch episodes on platforms including YouTube.
Robert Cocker, Senior Vice President of Social and Digital at Fremantle, said: “Our partnership with W!ZARD Studios reflects our new focus on supporting premium digital talent and building scalable models for the future of content.”
James Gilmore, Founder and Managing Director of W!ZARD Radio Media, said: “Partnering with Fremantle is an exciting next step in our mission of taking W!ZARD Studios’ creators and shows and building them into global brands.”
