The Podcast Show marks five years with its biggest global line-up

The Podcast Show returns to London this week with more than 450 speakers, nine stages and delegates from over 50 countries.

Taking place at the Business Design Centre on 20 and 21 May, the fifth edition of the event is expected to attract its largest audience to date.

Since launching in 2022, the show has grown into a major international meeting point for creators, platforms, broadcasters, studios, brands and production companies.

This year’s programme reflects the changing shape of podcasting, with sessions focused on video, live events, monetisation, intellectual property and creator-led communities.

Global and iHeartPodcasts return as headline partners. Their continuing partnership includes bringing iHeart shows to the UK and helping distribute Global Studios productions in the United States.

One of the major themes this year is international growth. The show has introduced an International Stage and Networking Lounge in association with Podimo, designed to connect creators and executives from markets including Australia, the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Denmark.

Sessions on this stage will cover international monetisation, audience growth and storytelling, featuring speakers including Carrie Lieberman, Greg Glenday and Morten Strunge.

A second new addition is the Creator First Stage, produced with Arcade and hosted by Jordan Schwarzenberger.

The stage will focus on fandom, platform strategy and creator businesses, with sessions featuring Jamie Laing and discussions on whether niche content or broader appeal offers the strongest commercial opportunity.

Across the two days, sessions include appearances from Emily Maitlis, Lewis Goodall, Elizabeth Day, Roman Mars, Piers Morgan, Gary Lineker and Spencer Matthews.

The programme also includes sessions on podcast advertising, AI, YouTube strategy and global IP opportunities.

Among the featured discussions are “The $1 Billion Question: Where Is the Next Growth Coming From?”, “Why Your Podcast Isn’t Making Money Yet” and “Show Me The Money: Global Monetisation, Distribution & IP”.

Alongside the conference, dozens of networking events will take place, including the Official Podcast Show x Patreon Sunset Party, The Creator Social, regional meetups and executive breakfasts.

Popular features returning this year include PodHouse, with partner-led discussions from companies such as Spotify, Amazon ART19 and Podscribe, The Bus Stop social hub from PAVE Studios, and the Creator Advice Lab, where delegates can receive guidance on production, branding, legal issues, monetisation and audience growth.

Jason Carter, Co-Founder and Festival Director of The Podcast Show, said: “This year’s programme reflects where the industry is heading: internationally connected, video-first and incredibly influential across entertainment, culture and business.

“We’re proud to be welcoming delegates from more than 50 countries for our biggest and most internationally diverse show yet.”
