Audio Always has more than doubled its monthly audience to 8.5 million as the podcast producer appoints Nicky Unsworth as its new Non-Executive Chair.
The company says its shows were listened to and watched 4.2 million times a month in April last year. By April this year, that total had reached 8.5 million.
Monthly views on YouTube have also tripled, rising from around 500,000 to more than 1.5 million.
The growth follows a busy year for the Manchester-based producer, with new additions to its network including The Teen Commandments, The Girls Bathroom and, from this week, Natalie Cassidy’s Life With Nat.
Several existing shows have also expanded. Help I Sexted My Boss has sold out an arena tour and become the first UK podcast to be licensed to MTV UK. New launches Get A Grip and Fact Up with Joe and James have also built growing audiences.
Audio Always has also been shortlisted for Audio Brand of the Year at the 2026 ARIAs.
Nicky Unsworth brings more than 30 years of experience in advertising and marketing. She spent 15 years as chief executive and co-owner of BJL before leading its sale to Dentsu.
She has also held senior industry roles with the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising, NABS and Tribe Global.
In her new role, Nicky will work with founder and managing director Stuart Morgan and the wider leadership team as Audio Always continues to expand its podcast network, commercial partnerships and commissioned content across radio and audiobooks.
Stuart said: “We’ve had a remarkable year at Audio Always. Growth like this brings its own questions about where you go next and how you do it well so it’s the perfect time to welcome Nicky to the team.”
Nicky added: “I’m looking forward to working with everyone at Audio Always. There’s real ambition here, and real talent to back it up.”
