Stanley Tucci will join Gary Lineker for a live conversation at Goalhanger: The Rest Is Fest in September.
The Southbank Centre and Goalhanger have revealed the final programme for the event, taking place from 4 to 6 September as part of the venue’s 75th anniversary celebrations.
Among the newly announced events is Stanley Tucci: Hollywood, Food & Me at the Royal Festival Hall on 6 September, where actor Stanley Tucci and Goalhanger co-founder Gary Lineker will discuss film, food, family and storytelling.
Other additions include The Real Housewives of Regency England with Marina Hyde and Tom Holland, Ancient Myths with Mary Beard and Josephine Quinn, and The 3 Ayatollahs: An Unbreakable Dynasty? featuring William Dalrymple, Anita Anand and Ali M. Ansari.
Football Clichés will also appear at the festival on 5 September, with Adam Hurrey, Charlie Eccleshare and David Walker bringing the podcast to the stage.
Previously announced events include the first live edition of The Rest Is Football, alongside The Rest Is Politics, Team America: World Police?, The Rest Is Quiz and The Book Club.
Gary said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be bringing The Rest Is Fest to the Southbank Centre in its 75th year, with the full line-up now revealed.
“Across more than 20 shows, it really is a festival of ideas from history, politics and science to entertainment, football, food and everything in between.”
Ted Hodgkinson, Head of Literature & Spoken Word at the Southbank Centre, said the festival reflected the organisation’s focus on “live, human connection in a world often shaped by algorithms and AI-generated content”.
He added: “This collaboration with Goalhanger proves that there is no digital substitute for the spark of charismatic voices.”
The festival takes place across the Southbank Centre site and is described as a collaboration between Europe’s largest arts centre and one of the world’s largest independent podcast producers.
Tickets for the newly announced events go on sale to Goalhanger and Southbank Centre members on 28 May, before general sale on 2 June.
