A new true crime podcast, Royal Swindle, is set to capture listeners with its tale of deception in British high society.
Launching on 23 July, the series is a collaboration between USG Audio, Exactly Right Media, and Blanchard House, following their previous success with Hell in Heaven.
The story centres on two Australian women who, as lovers, manage to infiltrate London’s elite circles.
They entice the upper echelons of society, including business figures and even Queen Elizabeth II, with an exclusive investment scheme.
However, beneath their glamorous façade lies a history of fraud and manipulation. Their activities attract the attention of a determined small-town detective, but the pair prove exceptionally elusive.
The eight-part series is hosted by award-winning journalist Becky Milligan. Becky manages to track down one of the women involved, persuading her to share her side of the story.
The podcast promises a blend of crime, romance, and intrigue, described as a true “rom-con”.
