Aiir Audio Academy 30 Under 30 nominations open

Emerging audio professionals in the UK now have the opportunity to be recognised as nominations open for the Aiir Audio Academy 30 Under 30 list for 2026.

The annual list highlights 30 individuals under the age of 30 who are shaping the future of sound, with a focus on those demonstrating exceptional talent, ambition and innovation across the audio and radio sector.

Each year, the list reflects the diversity of the UK audio industry, including content creators, producers, presenters, engineers, editors, brand strategists and journalists.

Both independent podcasters and those working for major broadcasters or global platforms are eligible, ensuring the full spectrum of the industry is represented.

Nominations are open until 11.59pm on 21st August. Individuals can nominate themselves, or Audio Academy members can nominate others who have made an impact over the past year.

The initiative is supported by broadcast technology company, Aiir, which continues its partnership with the Audio Academy.

Several previous 30 Under 30 alumni have gone on to hold senior roles in the industry, including Nicole Logan at Goalhanger, Darby Dorras at Platform Media, Sam Jackson at BBC Radio 3 and BBC Proms, Emma-Louise Amanshia at BBC Radio 1 and Newsround, and Joseph Zubier at Classic FM.

Aradhna Tayal Leach, Managing Director of the Audio Academy, said the list demonstrates the industry’s commitment to nurturing its own talent and that those recognised are set to define the future of audio.

Jimmy Buckland, Chair of the 30 Under 30 Judging Committee and Director of Strategy & Operations at News Broadcasting, described the list as a showpiece event, adding: “If you’re under 30 and driving innovation in radio or audio – whether in a commercial, creative, production, digital, or technical role – we want to hear about you!”

Ricki Lee, CEO at Aiir adds: “We are incredibly proud to partner with the Audio Academy to present 30 Under 30. We keenly await the list each year to meet the brightest minds in audio today, and feel lucky to have several 30 Under 30 alumni in our own team.”

Entries can be submitted via the Audio Academy’s award site and further details, including previous alumni, are available at audioacademy.org.uk/30-under-30/.
