Apple Podcasts has introduced a new campaign focusing on influential podcast voices from the UK and Ireland offering listeners new ways to engage with their content.
The “Creators We Love” campaign features a curated selection of podcasts now available as video podcasts on Apple Podcasts, giving fans the option to watch or listen to their favourite creators within the app’s full-screen player or switch to audio when on the move.
This development follows an earlier announcement this year about Apple’s enhanced video podcast experience, which uses HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology.
The technology provides creators with more control and new monetisation opportunities, while also delivering a high-quality viewing experience for users.
Apple’s approach allows podcast creators to present their work in new formats and reach audiences who prefer video as well as audio.
The company says the seamless integration of video and audio within the app is designed to make it easier for listeners to enjoy content in whichever way suits them best.
The “Creators We Love” campaign is part of Apple’s ongoing efforts to support podcast creators and showcase a diverse range of voices from across the UK and Ireland.
All selected podcasts are now available to stream as video podcasts directly through Apple Podcasts.
