Audioboom reports record revenue and profit growth in 2025

Audioboom has reported strong financial and operational growth in a trading update for the twelve months ending 31 December 2025.

The company says this marks a key transition point in its development as a global audio and video podcast platform.

The AIM-listed podcast company delivered adjusted EBITDA of around US$5.1 million last year, up 54% on 2024 and ahead of market expectations, alongside revenue of approximately US$80.4 million, representing year-on-year growth of 10%.

Gross profit increased by 18% to around US$17.0 million, reflecting Audioboom’s continued focus on higher quality revenue.

The final quarter of the year delivered record quarterly revenue of US$24.9 million and adjusted EBITDA of US$2.2 million, with an EBITDA margin of 9%.

Growth was driven in part by Showcase, Audioboom’s global advertising marketplace, which generated record revenue of around US$30.4 million, up 31% on the previous year, supported by increased inventory and scale.

Audience reach also expanded significantly, with average monthly distribution in the fourth quarter reaching 150 million downloads and video views, up 60% on the same period in 2024, following the acquisition of UK podcast sales business Adelicious in July.

The company noted that revenue per thousand downloads fell year on year, reflecting increased video views and UK listening, but said this creates medium-term upside as video monetisation and the UK podcast market continue to mature.

Commercial developments included a new partnership with Spotify to support video monetisation, record UK revenues following Adelicious integration, and the addition of History Daily to the Audioboom Creator Network.

Audioboom ended last year with group cash of US$4.2 million and confirmed that its previously disclosed onerous contract concluded on 31 December, allowing adjusted EBITDA to once again act as a proxy for cash generation this year.

A strategic review announced in October remains ongoing, with a further update expected by April.
