Critically acclaimed podcast Wisecrack launches global live tour

The hit podcast Wisecrack is coming to the stage with a global stand-up tour starring comedian Edd Hedges, bringing the series’ dark comedy and true crime to live audiences.

It begins in early February in Dublin and the UK, before heading to ten cities across the US.

The live show expands on the podcast, featuring Hedges performing the stand-up set that inspired the series, alongside new jokes and multimedia elements including photos and video.

The evening concludes with a Q&A hosted by Emmy®-nominated producer Jodi Tovay, offering audiences fresh insight into Hedges’ experiences following the podcast’s success.

Wisecrack is a limited, genre-defying series that fuses stand-up comedy with investigative true crime. The show follows Hedges as he unpacks a hometown comedy performance that became unexpectedly entwined with a chilling double murder.

Co-produced by Tenderfoot TV and iHeartPodcasts in association with Starwipe Productions, the podcast originated at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where Tovay first witnessed Hedges’ performance.

Through self-deprecating humour and personal storytelling, Wisecrack moves seamlessly between stage performance and true-crime investigation.

The podcast quickly reached number one on the chart, was named one of Apple Podcasts’ Best Shows of 2025, and was crowned The Guardian’s Best Podcast of the Year. It has also earned major awards recognition, including nominations for the Ambies and iHeartPodcast Awards.

Edd Hedges said: “I’m so excited to take Wisecrack on the road. I couldn’t have dreamt of this happening when I first performed the show at the Edinburgh Fringe to 20 confused-looking tourists.

“Revisiting the live show has been great and there’s heaps of new jokes and stories. Wisecrack has let me have an insight into the true crime community, or ‘crimeys’ as they like to be called, and they are wonderful people who have welcomed me into their world and been so supportive throughout.”

Tenderfoot TV Co-Founder and CEO Donald Albright added: “A live tour built around stand-up comedy and true crime is something we’ve never seen done before, and Wisecrack proved there is a massive audience hungry for a new kind of storytelling.

“The success of the podcast was only the beginning. This tour is the next chapter, and it shows how far a truly original story can travel.”

Jodi Tovay, host and producer of the podcast, said: “I was lucky enough to experience Edd’s set live years ago, without knowing where the story would lead.

“I’m so proud of this podcast and can’t wait for audiences to feel that same shift, that moment where laughter turns into something deeper and unforgettable.”
