Festival del Podcasting will introduce an Industry Day for the first time, reflecting the growing role of podcasts as a strategic business and communication tool in Italy.
The event, directed by Ester Memeo, returns to Milan on 2 and 3 October, marking its tenth anniversary.
The new Industry Day is aimed at brands, companies, agencies, publishers and communication professionals, and will focus on how podcasts have matured into a key asset for business and marketing.
Attendees can expect a programme that addresses podcast marketing, audience growth, discoverability, video podcasting, distribution strategies, monetisation, branded podcasts, journalism, educational content and emerging audio formats.
The Festival will also feature the Podcast Pitch, offering emerging creators a chance to present their projects directly to producers, publishers and industry professionals.
Workshops and practical sessions will cover writing, storytelling, editorial development and innovative audio formats.
A highlight of the event will be the exclusive presentation of the latest Nielsen research commissioned by Audible, offering insights into Italy’s podcast market, listening habits and the future of digital audio.
Friday, 2 October is dedicated to Industry Day, with a focus on brands, companies, publishers, platforms, production studios, communication agencies and marketing professionals.
The day will include the launch of the Audioboost Award for Best Branded Podcast, the traditional Podcast Contest, the MediaKey Award and the AperiPodcast networking event with DJ set.
Saturday, 3 October is Creator Day, focusing on the creator community with live podcasts, workshops, panels, networking and the Podcast Pitch. The Pod24 Award, promoted by 24Ore Podcast, will recognise the best independent investigative and documentary podcasts.
