All In Media, part of Xperi, is celebrating Nation Player hitting seven million weekly listening hours on its UK app.
The free Nation Player App, available on mobile and in-car with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, has supported content discovery, audience growth, and engagement through Xperi’s AIM Player technology.
Nation Player launched in 2024 with fifty-five stations, ninety-three podcast channels, and thirteen publishers. It has since grown to over one hundred stations, one hundred and twenty-five podcast channels, and forty-three publishers.
The line-up includes Nation’s own stations, independent and community radio brands, and podcasts from independent producers and the BBC.
Integration with Xperi allows audio companies to benefit from a collaborative revenue model via the Digital Ad Exchange (DAX) platform, which connects advertisers with digital audio inventory.
Creative and personalised advertising becomes an unintrusive part of the listening experience while providing growing revenue streams for Nation Player audio brands.
Nation Founder and CEO Jason Bryant said: “We continue to set new records for usage and active users for Nation Player and are on a mission to become the leading commercial audio app and to monetise audiences for our partners.
“Our momentum proves the value of technology on AIM Player, enabling independent broadcasters to drive growth and stand shoulder to shoulder with the UK’s radio industry giants.”
Listeners can access audio seamlessly at home, on-the-go, or in the car. AIM Player technology powers discovery with a flexible, personalised interface that makes it easy to navigate between favourites, trending shows, and podcasts.
Chris Gould, VP at All In Media, said: “Designed to help broadcasters of any size to compete in a fast-changing digital audio landscape, Nation Player demonstrates how our AIM Player technology can power branded apps that deliver the premium experiences listeners expect without the heavy costs of building from scratch.
“This partnership is evidence of how traditional media can be reinvented through innovative platforms and partnerships that prioritise user experience and engagement.”
