James Acaster and Ed Gamble’s Off Menu podcast returns for new series

Comedians James Acaster and Ed Gamble are back with series 15 of their hit podcast Off Menu.

The podcast has built a reputation for inviting guests into its now-famous dream restaurant, where they are asked to choose their ultimate starter, main course, side dish, drink and dessert.

Previous guests have included Hollywood star Kate Winslet, singer Joy Crookes, actors Gillian Anderson, Elle Fanning and Will Sharpe, BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James, and comedian Chris McCausland.

Series 15 promises more of the same, with a fresh run of star guests expected to reveal their weirdest, most indulgent and occasionally baffling dream menus, as well as the stories and memories attached to them.

The podcast launches the new series following a hugely successful period on stage, with Ed and James continuing to expand the Off Menu universe beyond audio.

After a sold-out UK and Ireland tour in 2023, the duo returned to live performance with a sold-out run of Off Menu: Live in London at the London Palladium last year, marking another major milestone for the show.

They will return to the stage again in March this year with a limited run of Off Menu Live: The Tasting Menus at the Royal Albert Hall.

Five of the six shows have already sold out, with tickets still available for a recently added sixth date, underlining the scale of demand for the podcast’s live incarnation.

Off Menu first launched in December 2018 and quickly became one of the UK’s biggest podcasts, winning multiple awards and regularly topping the podcast charts.

The show has now surpassed 230 million downloads, cementing its status as a standout success in the comedy podcast space.

In 2019 and 2020, it was nominated for Best Comedy Podcast at the British Podcast Awards, and over the years it has attracted some of the biggest names from stage, screen, music and broadcasting into the dream restaurant.

The new series launches on Wednesday 21 January, with episodes available every Wednesday on podcast platforms and a visual version released on YouTube each Thursday.
