Music tech company expands into growing podcast market

The growing music promotion platform, Promoly has entered podcast and audio marketing.

Promoly already provides a simple and effective way to market music to email lists, social networks and direct contacts and is now focusing on helping podcasters get their content noticed.

With so many podcast creators competing for listeners’ attention, Promoly thinks a lot of them could be marketing themselves better than they currently are.

The company recognised that people who work in audio had distinct similarities in their strategy – people who need to promote a podcast, deliver it to their email list, in the same way record labels promote music to DJs, with the common goal to grow their brand.

Promoly was born as a solution to a problem back in 2014, when Pete Callaghan owned his own record label. It was growing rapidly and needed a way to keep track of the thousands of contacts he had made in the music industry, while still effectively promoting their artists’ music to those tastemakers.

By teaming up with his fellow record label owner and developer Mike Ramirez, they built Promoly from the ground up, making tools they wish they had 10 years ago, for others in the music industry.

“Taking our idea and turning it into reality and seeing Promoly grow into a brand that people love using has been a real highlight for us,” Pete says. “We love seeing our customers succeed with their promotions – the results they get with Promoly are awesome, and we’re glad to be part of that,” he adds.
