New in-flight music show Taking Off…with Jamie Cullum launches

Award-winning broadcaster and musician Jamie Cullum is to host a new in-flight music show.

Launching in June, Taking Offโ€ฆwith Jamie Cullum is produced by Essex-based Folded Wing, who have been making Jamieโ€™s BBC Radio 2 show since it began in 2010. The quarterly, hour-long in-flight show will celebrate fresh jazz and jazz-leaning emerging artists.ย 

The will be available on six airlines, including British Airways, Aer Lingus, Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian and Qatar Airways. Itโ€™s being made in collaboration with leading global media and entertainment agency Spafax.ย 

Platinum-selling recording artist Jamie will be selecting the best emerging music with influences from around the globe whilst focusing on independent labels.

Episode 1 includes Londoners Ezra Collective, Dublinโ€™s Moondiver, US-born Indian-raised and UK-based percussionist Sarathy Korwar and Latin-influenced alt-soul from Portuguese singer and songwriter Raquel Martins.
