New Podcast MUMBELIEVABLE focuses on relationships with mothers

MUMBELIEVABLE is a funny and insightful podcast about our mixed up and marvellous mums.

When Sonia Beldom’s mum, Margaret, was sectioned at age 80 and placed in a secure care home, she finally understood her mum’s neurodiversity and their fun-filled relationship flourished for the last 10 years of Margaret’s life.

The inspiration for MUMBELIEVABLE comes from the hit blog Sonia’s Mum, which featured their hilarious conversations and one-of-a-kind back story. Inspired by hundreds of people sharing their anecdotes, the podcast MUMBELIEVABLE was born.

Sonia’s journey with her mother is all about transformational love between a mentally complex mother, and the daughter who adored her and understood her behaviour later on in life.

In each episode, Sonia invites a famous guest to talk about their relationship with their mother, from the funny moments to the deeper, and sometimes darker stories. This is a celebration of the women who have made us who we are today and the stories of the complex relationships between mother and child.

Sonia Beldom comments: “I am a media and speaker training coach and children’s book author, but I also learnt how to drive buses in London a few years back. So, this is just a whole new adventure for me, and I can promise that some big-name celebrities are talking about their mothers in the upcoming MUMBELIEVABLE series, and there will be plenty of laughs, shocking moments, and some tears.

“My precious Mum passed away in 2018, but the one thing she loved more than anything was hearing other people share their mental health stories. I so wish she could be here to listen to the conversations that take place – I know she would have found great comfort in them, and I hope others do too”.
