Platform Media hires Rhyanna Coleman as strategy director

Platform Media has appointed Rhyanna Coleman to the newly created role of Director of Strategy as it develops its original IP slate.

Rhyanna previously collaborated on launches including the podcast debuts of Graham Norton and Ant & Dec, and will now lead strategic direction across Platform’s growing portfolio.

The company says the move follows a year of expansion with a focus on building audience-first brands around its shows.

In the new role, Rhyanna will refine formats for video-first, platform-agnostic consumption, develop new revenue streams and build community hubs around talent-led content, including subscriptions, live events and merchandise.

She will work across creative and commercial teams to position the original IP slate for long-term growth.

Rhyanna said: “I’m looking forward to getting under the hood of Platform’s original IP, working closely with their incredible creative and commercial teams.

”As the slate expands, my goal is to ensure we’re not just reaching audiences, but building high-value brands that benefit talent and partners alike.”

Platform Media Chief Executive Officer Josh Adley added: “I’ve partnered with Rhyanna on various shows over the years and every time I came away wishing she was part of our team.

”She shares our vision and ambition in a way that is hard to find. I can’t wait for her to grow and optimise our slate in a big way.”

Rhyanna joins from YMU, where she was Head of Podcasts, focusing on scaling established shows and developing new owned IP.

Before that, she spent three years as an Executive Producer at Spotify, overseeing the UK Originals slate and working on titles including Inner Monologue with Olivia Neill and The Way We Are with Munroe Bergdorf.
