A special episode of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme’s podcast has been released for International Women’s Day.
Launched in 2021, the Protect your money with FSCS podcast’s aim is to help raise awareness and understanding of FSCS and its free service.
In the special episode, host Jess Spiers is joined by FSCS Chief Financial Officer Fiona Kidy and non-executive Board member Cathryn Riley for a personal and insightful conversation about women in finance.
They discuss gender diversity, whether or not we still need the Women in Finance Charter, and why we must nurture the pipeline of future female leaders. Fiona and Cathryn share their personal experiences of being working women in finance in their discussion.
Episode 20 Women in finance is available now on all podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Google, Spotify and Amazon.
FSCS has also launched several mini-pods – short episodes of around 7 minutes – which aim to debunk financial jargon to help consumers understand more on specific services or products they may be confused about, such as ‘in-default’ and ‘temporary high balances’.
