Targeted podcast hits 1.2 million listeners in three months

Targeted, the hit new video podcast hosted by Zach Abramowitz, has reached over 1.2 million listeners in just three months since launching on 26 March.

Produced by Next Chapter Podcasts, Targeted blends true crime, investigative journalism, and political thriller elements to uncover the shocking stories of individuals systematically dismantled by powerful governments and institutions.

The series features first-person interviews and expert analysis featuring whistleblowers, activists, strategists, and entrepreneurs whose lives were upended.

Guests have included UK lawyer Jonathan Taylor, political strategist pursued over his high-stakes campaigns Aron Shaviv, Russian lawyer Pavel Ivlev, pro-democracy activist Nathan Law, businessman Gaurav Srivastava, and BBC Russia journalist Amalia Zatar.

Host Zach Abramowitz, a former mergers and acquisitions attorney and founder of Killer Whale Strategies, brings legal insight into how financial, legal, and media tools can be weaponised to silence or destroy individuals who fall into the crosshairs of power.

โ€œOnce you go down the โ€˜targetingโ€™ rabbit hole, thereโ€™s no going back,โ€ Abramowitz said. โ€œItโ€™s staggering how easily someoneโ€™s life can be dismantled and how little most people know about the mechanisms used to make it happen. Iโ€™m honoured that so many listeners are joining us in shining a light on these stories.โ€

Targetedโ€™s rapid growth highlights the publicโ€™s growing interest in stories exploring abuse of institutional power and the personal cost paid by those who stand up or stand out.

The show is available as a video podcast on YouTube and in audio format on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other major platforms.
