The Girlfriends: Untouchable podcast exposes Kansas City police abuse

The hit podcast series The Girlfriends returns this month with a new season called The Girlfriends: Untouchable.

Co-produced by Novel and iHeartPodcasts, the eight-part series follows a remarkable group of women who risked everything to expose a decades-long abuse scandal involving a Kansas City police detective.

This season introduces host Nikki Richardson and new “Girlfriends” Khadijah Hardiway and Niko Quinn.

When Niko witnessed her cousin’s murder in broad daylight, her pursuit of justice led her to uncover one of the most disturbing cases of police corruption in her community.

Detective Roger Golubski, a local officer, used his badge to intimidate and exploit black women for years, until a courageous sisterhood joined forces to stop him.

The Girlfriends: Untouchable tells their story of how women in Kansas City, Kansas, banded together when the police failed to protect them, and instead took justice into their own hands.

It’s a look at how solidarity, resilience and truth can dismantle even the most entrenched corruption.

New episodes of The Girlfriends: Untouchable will be released weekly on Mondays, starting 17 November, on all major podcast platforms.
