VeePod adds live sponsor branding tools for video podcast studios

VeePod has launched new 3D graphics tools allowing live sponsor placements inside virtual podcast studio sets.

The real time video podcasting system now lets production teams add, switch or remove branded objects during recording, without interrupting the flow of a show.

This feature is designed to create sponsor integrations that appear naturally within a virtual studio environment.

Objects can form part of the studio backdrop and be updated instantly depending on the guest or conversation. A football carrying one sponsor’s branding could be replaced with a rugby ball linked to another campaign during the same production.

The updated VeePod system will be shown publicly for the first time at The Podcast Show in London on 20 and 21 May. The Dean Street Podcast Studio will demonstrate the technology as part of its showcase for its Soho based facilities.

VeePod is aimed at production teams looking to create high quality video podcasts without the higher costs and technical demands often associated with premium studio production.

The platform combines virtual production technology with automation tools while maintaining a more natural style of conversation and presentation.

Rob Chandler, founder of The Dean Street Podcast Studio, said: “The challenge for premium podcast titles now is how to integrate sponsors in a way that doesn’t break the flow of the content or damage the integrity of the show.”

He added: “Blending sponsorships into the world of the show itself is going to be the future of podcast monetisation, and VeePod now enables a new layer of integration that works for both sides without a trade off.”
