The Canadian Podcast Awards have opened nominations for its eighth annual celebration, recognising excellence across the country’s vibrant podcasting scene.
Honouring creators who inform, entertain, and inspire, the Awards, sponsored by Shure this year, showcase the best in storytelling, production, and creativity.
Eligible podcasts must have released at least five episodes between 1 January and 31 December 2024, with more than 30 categories across comedy, current affairs, arts, sports, and culture.
John Leschinski, Founder of the Canadian Podcast Awards, said: “What makes podcasting so special is the community behind it.
“It’s an industry built on passion, collaboration, and storytelling. Each year we’re reminded how powerful that combination can be in connecting people and amplifying diverse voices.”
Since launching in 2018, the Awards have highlighted the innovation and diversity of Canadian podcasters while helping to elevate the industry through peer recognition.
Winners are chosen by fellow creators and industry members, ensuring that excellence is acknowledged by those who understand the craft.
Nominations are open now at canpodawards.ca and will close on 1 November. Finalists and winners will be announced later this autumn.
