Pottermore Publishing and Audible have announced Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions.
It’s a major new production of J.K. Rowling’s seven Harry Potter books, reimagined with A-list stars, original music, Dolby Atmos sound, and more than 200 actors.
The first release, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, arrives globally on 4 November 2025, with the rest of the series following monthly through to May 2026.
This full-cast project features an extraordinary line-up including Hugh Laurie as Albus Dumbledore, Matthew Macfadyen as Lord Voldemort, Riz Ahmed as Professor Snape, Michelle Gomez as Professor McGonagall, and Cush Jumbo OBE as the narrator.
New actors will play the lead trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, with Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester, and Arabella Stanton voicing the characters in the early books, before Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan, and Nina Barker-Francis take over for the latter instalments.
Over 2,000 hours of recording have already been completed, with Rachel Ghiazza, Audible’s Chief Content Officer, describing the production as “extraordinary.” Neil Blair, Chairman of Pottermore Publishing, said the collaboration represents “the next evolution in audiobook storytelling.”
Hugh Laurie said: “I’m honoured to have been trusted with the keys to Albus Dumbledore… It’s a privilege to be among [such] great company.”
This project complements the much-loved single-narrator editions by Jim Dale and Stephen Fry, which remain available on Audible and have amassed 1.8 billion listening hours globally since launching in 2015.
The full-cast Harry Potter audiobooks are now available for pre-order.
