Broadcaster friends launch new podcast Never Seen Gavin and Stacey

Fellow broadcasters Abbie McCarthy and Olivia Jones are launching a new podcast, Never Seen Gavin & Stacey.

Abbie is a self-confessed Gavin & Stacey superfan and her best friend Olivia has so far, not seen an episode of the award-winning comedy sitcom.

Together they’ll watch every episode and do a full debrief, all in time for the final EVER episode this Christmas. Abbie reckons she’s seen it all before, but Olivia’s fresh insight might just give this classic show a new perspective.

Abbie and Olivia met back in 2009, aged 18 when Olivia lived with Abbie’s now husband at university.

Abbie McCarthy is an award-winning presenter, DJ and content creator. The go-to for new music with BBC Introducing, The Eras Podcast and her Good Karma Club gig night. She is also an expert on women’s football as a familiar face on BBC Sport and a regular host for the Lionesses and Chelsea TV.

Olivia Jones is a presenter for Virgin Radio UK, a digital presenter and scriptwriter. With over a decade in presenting, she has worked with brands such as MTV, Popbuzz, Snapchat has interviewed some of the biggest pop stars in the world.

Series one of Never Seen Gavin & Stacey will be available as a six-episode boxset on all podcast platforms from Monday 2 December.
