Clara Amfo launches new podcast with travel stories and life experiences
From York to New York, Clara Amfo chats travel stories and life experiences with a line-up of well-known guests in her new podcast.
Routes is a brand-new travel and entertainment podcast in collaboration with LNER, which sees Clara talking to the likes of Tom Grennan, Candice Brathwaite, Babatunde Aleshe, and Arielle Free, as they explore what travel means to them – whether across the LNER East Coast Mainline or beyond.
Not your typical travel show, Clara’s guests discuss their biggest travel moments, childhood memories, career influences, their biggest ‘icks,’ and the weird and wonderful encounters they’ve had along the way.
In the first episode, Tom Grennan shares memorable travel moments from his life. It includes a very, memorable trip aged nine, a life-changing realisation in Stevenage, a London visit with his mum that kick-started his passion for music, and a behind-the-scenes look into what he gets up to on tour.
Clara Amfo said: “I’m delighted to team up with LNER for the Routes podcast where we get into the fun, personal and sometimes awkward side of travel!
“Travel has always been my way of embracing new experiences and I love exploring during work and in my downtime.
“We have a great lineup of guests who all bring their unique and universal takes on what it is to step outside of their usual surroundings, that will hopefully inspire our listeners to do the same!”
Stuart Thomas, LNER’s Communications Director added: “I’m so excited about the launch of Routes with Clara Amfo, with a stellar guest list and a brilliant host.
“There’s nothing better than relaxing on one of our trains and listening to a podcast—and I know this one is going straight to the top of my list.
“As well as being available through all the usual podcast channels, Routes will be available directly onboard LNER services using a seat-back QR code.”
Routes with Clara Amfo will be launch on all major podcast platforms and onboard LNER trains from 7 November.
