Content is Queen has launched its 2024 Micro-Grants for Podcasters Programme which helps creators worldwide to bring their podcast visions to life.
The programme offers cash grants to creators, with ten of them receiving £1000 each and another 10 receiving £500 each. These grants help creators develop trailers, original pilots, or special episodes of their existing series.
In addition to the cash grants, selected creators will receive production support from Content is Queen, including guidance on development, editing and access to their Somerset House studio.
Creators will also have the opportunity to pitch their show to Audible for potential commissioning and further development.
Amber Miller, Micro-Grant Programme Lead at Content is Queen said: “This is the fourth year of running the programme and we are super excited to support another round of amazing projects.
“We appreciate Audible’s continued support of the programme which has become a staple in the podcast funding landscape.
“The industry has been quite tough on small indie creators recently and we know that opportunities like this seem few and far between, so we are keen to start supporting a new cohort of fabulous creators in 2024.”
The programme is open to creators worldwide who are over 18 years old. Companies with over ten employees (or a turnover greater than £50,000), employees, friends, or family of Content is Queen or Audible are not eligible to apply.
Applications are open here until 3 January 2025, with those who are successful being contacted by 14 February. You can findout more on the Content is Queen website.
