Helen George and Yvette Robinson launch Mystic Mates podcast

Helen George and Yvette Robinson are launching a new weekly podcast, Mystic Mates, inviting listeners into their long-standing conversations about the mystic and spirituality.

The pair, who first met in 2004 while performing in The Woman in White at London’s Palace Theatre, have relied on tarot, crystals and astrology to help them navigate both highs and lows over the past two decades.

Helen is now widely recognised for her role as Trixie Franklin in BBC’s Call the Midwife, while Yvette has built her career in the West End and founded Lights Up! Performing Arts school.

Mystic Mates will feature honest, personal discussions between Helen, Yvette and their listeners, covering topics such as relationships, motherhood, grief, intuition and spirituality.

Helen said: “Mention tarot and everyone suddenly has a story.”

The podcast will look to create a community where curiosity is encouraged, regardless of whether listeners are lifelong believers or simply interested in the mystic.

In addition to the main episodes, fans can access extra content, including an Astrology Masterclass from Mel the Astrologer, via the show’s Patreon page.

Mystic Mates is the first original production from independent company Biscuit Jim, which has also produced Man Made with Pete Wicks for Bauer Media, Questions & Ancestors with Alex Jones for Telegraph Media Group, and Emma Willis on Saturday for BBC Radio 2.

Mystic Mates will be available from 13 July, with new episodes released every Monday on Spotify and all major podcast platforms.
