Doomsday Watch returns for season four The Ukraine War

The fourth season of current affairs podcast Doomsday Watch tells, for the first time, the complete chronological story of Putin’s war on Ukraine.

Doomsday Watch: The Ukraine War is written and presented by returning host Arthur Snell, a sought-after commentator on security issues and a former British foreign service diplomat who led the overseas division of the anti-terror initiative, Prevent.

As Arthur Snell often says on the podcast, “nothing happens in a vacuum.” The fourth season of goes beyond the headlines to explore the background and context of Putin’s war in Ukraine – and make connections that will help to understand a war that is reshaping the world.

Over eight-episodes, Snell talks to Ukrainian soldiers, civilians and experts including writer on Russian politics, crime and intelligence Mark Galeotti, Ukrainian journalist Olga Tokariuk, land warfare specialist Jack Watling on the battlefield strategy and tactics, political scientist Liana Fix and many more.

Since its launch in 2021, Doomsday Watch has gained a following of over two million listeners around the world.

Arthur Snell says it’s the opportune time to release a new season: “In this series we try to deliver something that is equal to the enormity of what has happened in Europe in the past year.

“This is a podcast for fans of The Rest is History and We Have Ways. For those with longer memories we are trying to evoke something of the gravitas and breadth of The World At War.”

It can also be heard a week early by supporting the independently-run show on its Patreon crowdfunding page or via the Podmasters Originals subscription on Apple Podcasts.
