Entries now open for 2025 International Women’s Podcast Awards

Now in its fifth year, entries for the 2025 International Women’s Podcast Awards are open.

The event will take place in June with a live event in London and an accompanying global livestream, bringing together podcasters, audio professionals, and podcast enthusiasts to celebrate the achievements of women in podcasting worldwide.

Once again, there are ten categories to choose from this year and there is no restriction on what genre or ‘type’ of podcast can enter each of them.

Last year, a category was introduced for the Moment of Factual Clarity following feedback from the IWPA network, to feature podcasts that inform its listeners in a clear and simple way as well as entertaining them.

2024 was also the second year featuring the category Moment of Podcasting Panache in a Language Other Than English, to showcase work from around the world in multiple languages. Entries were received in 15 different languages including Garifuna, Taiwanese and Moldovan.

Naomi Mellor, the founder of the awards says: “We are delighted to have opened entries for this year’s International Women’s Podcast Awards. “

We were blown away by the number and quality of entries received in 2024 and cannot wait to hear the audio submitted this year.

“We love to celebrate and showcase work that’s been produced, as podcasting is a powerful medium that provides a platform for people to tell their story, showcase their work, and have their voice heard.

“We encourage all podcasters to submit their entries and be a part of this event. The IWPA Bursary will also once again be open, offering complimentary entries and tickets to anyone, worldwide.”
