International Women’s Podcast Festival returns with first guest revealed

The International Women’s Podcast Festival is returning for its fourth year with Serial’s Sarah Koenig announced as the first guest.

Curated by Content is Queen, the festival brings together female innovators and leaders in podcasting, audio, and broadcasting.

It takes place 3 – 4 October in London, beginning at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall as part of the Southbank Centre’s Summer Literature Season.

In recognition of her significant impact and innovation, Sarah Koenig will open the event to talk about uncovering stories, her journalistic journey and navigating the audio industry as a woman.

Sarah Koenig says: “I cannot wait to come hang out with a bunch of women interested in audio and all the different ways we use it to tell stories. There was no way I was going to pass up this event.”

There will be live podcast shows, masterclasses and workshop curation designed to help careers and develop audio skills. Also, guests from behind some of the world’s biggest podcasts, networking events and sessions with podcasters and producers worldwide.
