Joe Marler announces nationwide theatre tour for podcast live shows

Joe Marler will take his podcast to theatres across the UK in a new nationwide tour this autumn.

Platform Media has joined forces with Live Nation and CAA for Joe Marler Will See You Live, with dates across October and November.

Since retiring in 2024 as one of England’s great rugby players, Marler has moved into podcasting and TV, including an appearance in The Celebrity Traitors that helped bring him to a wider audience.

His podcast Joe Marler Will See You Now sees him welcoming a different celebrity into his practice where he uses observational skills and questioning to explore how they think, with help from co-host and comedian Jake Bhardwaj.

Jake, who is also host of Not Another Quiz Night and Saturday Night Live’s 5toLive, supports Marler on stage and helps steer the conversation while adding humour throughout.

In six months, the show has reached 8 million long form streams and 137 million social media views, according to Platform Media, which says the project demonstrates its approach to building entertainment brands across social media, video and other platforms.

Each live date will feature a different guest and combine audience participation with set pieces as Joe and Jake bring the podcast format to theatre stages.

Joe said: “Playing Dr Marler every week has been a proper joy, and the reaction since launch has been amazing. I can’t wait to bring all the silliness and the more serious moments of the show into the real world.”

Jake added: “Taking the show on the road is going to be great. Anything can happen once we leave the studio, although one thing is guaranteed: Joe will still be wearing shorts.”

The tour will visit Birmingham Town Hall on Monday 26 October, York Barbican on Wednesday 28 October, London Palladium on Thursday 29 October, Manchester Opera House on Sunday 1 November, Bristol Beacons on Tuesday 3 November, Brighton Dome on Thursday 5 November and Northampton Royal on Friday 6 November.

Pre-sale begins on Wednesday 20 May at 10am on Live Nation, with general on sale from 10am on Friday 22 May.
