Jules Buckley to guest present Radio 3’s Classical Fix podcast

As part of the BBC Proms 2020, the Grammy award-winning conductor and composer Jules Buckley will stand in for Clemmie Burton-Hill to guest present BBC Radio 3’s Classical Fix podcast.

Classical Fix is an award-winning podcast which opens up the world of classical music to anyone who wants to give it a try.

There are four special guests lined-up who will experience bespoke classical playlists from Jules.

The first one is North-East singer and musician Nadine Shah. Her highly acclaimed new album Kitchen Sink explores her own experience of life as a 30-something woman.

Other special guests include Poppy Ajudha, a 20 year old British singer and former BBC Music Introducing artist, French musician, singer-songwriter and Savages front woman, Jehnny Beth and artist, composer, producer and DJ Afrodeutsche.

Jules Buckley says: “Classical Fix is something I’m super honoured to be involved in while standing in for and continuing the great work of Clemmie Burton-Hill. I look forward to conversing with my guests about this incredible world, let’s go!”

Jules has been called a ‘pioneering genre alchemist’, he’s worked with many artists including Arctic Monkeys to Quincy Jones and Stormzy.

Closely linked to BBC Symphony Orchestra, Heritage Orchestra and Metropole Orkest, over the past nine years he has been responsible for some of the most ground-breaking BBC Proms and is part of the BBC’s upcoming 2020 Proms season.
