Gary Lineker will be the first guest when series eight of The Louis Theroux Podcast launches on 9 June.
The Spotify and Mindhouse podcast returns with a new run of interviews featuring some of the most recognisable names from broadcasting, sport, music and entertainment.
Confirmed guests include broadcaster and former footballer Gary Lineker, filmmaker and online creator Andrew Callaghan, singer Mel C and chef Marco Pierre White.
Drawing on his long career as an interviewer, Louis Theroux explores the personal and professional lives of his guests beyond their public image.
Since launching in 2023, The Louis Theroux Podcast has become a significant part of Spotify’s podcast line-up. The previous series featured guests including tennis player Boris Becker, singer Lulu, actress Simone Ashley and filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos.
The wider catalogue also includes interviews with actress Florence Pugh, actor Sean Penn, actor Willem Dafoe, singer Jade Thirlwall and artist Marina Abramović.
Louis Theroux said: “I’ll tell you what I want – what I really really want… I want a line-up of distinctive and scintillating conversations with – in no particular order – a girl band icon (Mel C), a cheffing genius (Marco Pierre White), a footballing icon (Gary Lineker), a gonzo YouTuber (Andrew Callaghan) and several other just-as-captivating guests.”
The Louis Theroux Podcast is available on all podcast platforms, while video versions remain exclusive to Spotify.
