New episodes of Watts Occurring powered by Eurosport podcast to launch

Eurosport, Crowd Network and Rocket Sports have partnered to produce the 2024 series of Watts Occurring.

The new sponsorship will see the podcast titled Watts Occurring powered by Eurosport.

Hosted by the 2018 Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas alongside INEOS Grenadiers teammate Luke Rowe with contributions from award-winning sports journalist Tom Fordyce, new episodes will be produced throughout the season with a weekly show complemented by daily episodes during the Tour de France.

The critically acclaimed podcast features the biggest stories from the world of cycling including inside information from Thomas and Rowe’s Monaco-base, training camps and the biggest races on the UCI World Tour calendar.

As part of the agreement, Thomas and Rowe will share their experience and exclusive insights from the peloton to provide commentary for some of the season’s races. Streamed live through Eurosport’s dedicated Instagram channel so fans to follow for free, there’s also Eurosport’s premium television coverage in addition to streaming on discovery+ and Max. Live cycling on Max is currently available in USA.

The pair will also make contributions for Eurosport’s English language studio analysis show, The Breakaway, throughout the season with selected clips published on Eurosport.com.

Geraint Thomas and Luke Rowe, co-hosts of Watts Occurring powered by Eurosport, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to kick-off a partnership with Eurosport.

“Watts Occurring has been on a crazy growth journey since joining Crowd Network last year and we’re sure teaming up with Eurosport will help us take the show to another new level.

“Don’t worry though, we won’t be getting too professional – Luke will still be half-naked on most records, G will still join from the massage table, and we’ll be chatting our usual unfiltered waffle. We can’t wait.”

Mike Carr, CEO of Crowd Network, commented: “Watts Occurring remains one of our most listened-to and loved podcasts.

“No other cycling podcast gives unique access to two of the best riders whilst racing, and Eurosport is the perfect partner for the show given its extensive cycling coverage.

“We hope to develop the partnership over future series and help the brand tap into our huge – and growing – audience of cycling lovers.”
