Pop Culture with Chanté Joseph returns for second series

Chanté Joseph is back with the second series of the Guardian’s popular podcast, Pop Culture.

The first series explored everything, from the truth behind reality TV, the fallout from Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Netflix series and Jameela Jamil’s exasperation with the return of size zero to the fashion runways.

Now the new series sees host Chanté provide more unique takes on the latest pop culture stories and what they mean for us day-to-day, with more of her sharp-witted analysis, special guests, and insights into what’s trending.

With the return of the Oscars and its lingering controversies, in the first new episode, Chanté talks to author and Hollywood expert Michael Shulman about the awards campaigns that go on behind the scenes, the criticisms from actors, and why young people just aren’t watching anymore.

Chanté says: “It has been a dream come true working with all the team, and I am so overjoyed that we’re back for a second season. I already know this next series will be even better than the last. We have so many exciting new features to be revealed and more stories to explore.”

Nicole Jackson, head of audio, Guardian News & Media added: “Pop Culture has proved to be another great audio offering from the Guardian. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Chanté and the whole team who have made the podcast possible. I’m looking forward to listening to Chanté and her guests covering the highs, the lows and everything in between in this latest season.”
