Pride This Way video podcast launches to follow Pride culture

A new video podcast series is taking audiences behind the scenes of Pride events across the UK and beyond, with dedicated episodes focusing on Northern England.

Pride This Way has launched today and will follow the people who build, perform, protect and live Pride culture.

Produced by Pillars of Change Media, the visually immersive series will explore everything from parades and protest routes to club nights, backstage areas and community gatherings.

The 2026 tour begins on 3 June and is set to include more than 26 episodes recorded across over 20 cities in six countries.

UK locations featured in the series include Manchester, Leeds, Whitby and Blackpool, alongside destinations across Europe and the United States.

Each episode will be led by a rotating group of City Ambassadors and Pride insiders with connections to the communities featured.

Contributors announced for the season include singer songwriter Tara McDonald, Northern Irish artist Conleth Kane and international tour guide Soraya Vivian.

The programme will also examine the UK’s Pride history, including the legacy of Section 28, while highlighting the venues, performers and organisers who continue to shape LGBTQ+ culture today.

Heather J. Taylor, Founder and Executive Producer of Pillars of Change Media, said: “Queer media shouldn’t have to choose between joy and justice. With Pride This Way — and every project we greenlight — our aim is to reflect both the reality and the possibility, and to ensure our storytelling gives something meaningful back to the communities we cover.”

Jack Horlock, Founder of Horlock House and producer on the series, added: “Pride partnerships, done properly, should do two things at once. First, celebrate the culture and, second, reinvest in the community.”

The podcast is also the first project from Pillars of Change Media to use the company’s pay it forward model, with a portion of revenue being directed to LGBTQ+ non profit organisations connected to the communities and causes featured in the series.

Pride This Way is available on major podcast and video podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and Amazon Music.
