Space, aliens and futuristic technology feature in brand-new podcast
Launching on 24th February, Where Is My Jetpack? is a brand-new science podcast here to answer the questions that fascinate you most about space, extra-terrestrial life and out-of-this-world technology.
Hosted by space journalist Sarah Cruddas who has studied astrophysics and broadcaster and Stak COO Luke Moore, this 10-part series will explore the past, present and future of inventions.
From Back To The Future to 2001: A Space Odyssey, TV and film promised us everything from jetpacks and flying cars to holidays in space. So what happened to those Space Age dreams?
Each episode will look into a different piece of reterofuturistic technology that never was. Sarah and Luke are on a mission to find out if these brilliant inventions are still just science fiction or might soon become reality.
Sarah and Luke are joined by experts from the forefront of science academia and industry, from current and former NASA astronauts, to world-renowned physicists and the inventors of the world’s first hoverboard and flying car.
Together, they will explore questions like: Will we ever jump in a flying car to get to work? Why has no-one been to the moon since the 70s – and whatever happened to the Moonbase? When will Elon Musk be heading on his trip to Mars, and can we join him one day?
Guests throughout the series include:
Andy Aldrin
Son of Buzz Aldrin & Director of The Aldrin Space Institution
Richard Browning
Founder of Gravity Industries, a company that designs and
builds his Jet Suit invention
Mark Moore
CEO of Whisper Aero and co-founder of Uber Elevate
