The Times launches new 12-part podcast series Planet Hope

The Times has launched a new 12-part podcast series featuring interviews with individuals helping to solve environmental challenges.

The podcast is created in partnership with Rolex and its Perpetual Planet Initiative, which supports pioneering explorers and organisations working to protect the environment.

Each week, The Times’ Environmental Editor, Adam Vaughan, will conduct interviews to learn about individuals across the world who are working on pioneering projects and solutions to protect the planet for the next generation.

They include Rolex partners, Conservationist and National Geographic Explorer Steve Boyes, who is exploring Africa’s major river basins and Climate Scientist and Explorer Felicity Aston MBE, who is gathering data on threats to the Arctic.

Commenting on the launch of the series, Adam Vaughan said: “Planet Hope will bring inspiring and personal stories from forward-thinking scientists, innovators and entrepreneurs who are working to implement sustainable solutions for the most defining issue of our time.

“Listeners can expect to hear directly from the people who are working across these projects, and its significance in delivering urgent and lasting change.”

New episodes of Planet Hope are available every Thursday from today, 20 April on the free Times Radio app or wherever you get your podcasts. It’s also available to view on the Times Radio YouTube channel.
